Choirs & Courses
At CFHS, our choirs are more than classes — they’re communities of singers dedicated to artistry, teamwork, and personal growth. Whether you’re discovering your voice or preparing for a music career, there’s a place for you here.
Falconaires
Tenor & Bass Voices | Grades 9–12 | No Audition
Falconaires welcomes all tenor and bass singers ready to grow their skills. In this supportive, performance-based class, you’ll learn music reading, build vocal technique, and explore repertoire from the Renaissance to today. Perform in four concerts each year and develop your musicianship over time — no experience needed.
Concert Blue
Soprano & Alto Voices | Grades 9–12 | No Audition
Concert Blue is open to all soprano and alto singers who want to strengthen their voice, music reading, and performance confidence. You’ll sing a variety of styles and eras, from classical to contemporary, and take the stage for four concerts a year. Perfect for beginners or returning singers.
Concert Silver
Advanced Sopranos & Altos | Grades 9–12 | Audition Required
Concert Silver takes your singing to the next level. This advanced ensemble performs sophisticated, multi-voice arrangements across genres and is featured at school, community, and festival performances (5–8 per year). Members are encouraged to participate in statewide festivals and competitions while honing the discipline of a professional musician.
Concert Chorale
Advanced SATB Ensemble | Grades 10–12 | Audition Required
As our largest advanced choir, Concert Chorale brings together skilled sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses to perform challenging works from diverse traditions. Expect intricate harmonies, multiple voicings, and 6–9 performances each year. Members are leaders in the program and often represent CFHS at festivals and state events.
Change of Pace
Flagship Small Ensemble | Grades 10–12 | Audition Required
Change of Pace is our elite vocal group specializing in a cappella and jazz. With 8–11 performances annually, this tight-knit ensemble shines in improvisation, vocal jazz, and dynamic stage presence. It’s an opportunity to perform at the highest level and represent CFHS in the community and beyond.
AP Music Theory
Grades 11–12 | Teacher Approval Required
For students serious about music, AP Music Theory builds the skills needed for college entrance exams and professional musicianship. You’ll study composition, analysis, aural skills, and sight-singing while preparing for the AP exam — ideal for singers planning to continue music beyond high school.
