Transportation Reminders

Posted Date: 8/29/25 (5:30 PM)

Dear Falcon Families,

Our goal is always to have the daily drive, drop-off, and/or pick-up be safer, smoother, and less stressful for everyone. With that goal in mind, here are a couple of friendly parking and driving reminders.

1. Parking

If your student was not issued a parking pass, please don’t bring a car to campus or park in unauthorized areas, either on or off campus.  Parking is by permit only.

2. Speed Limits

Please do not speed on the surrounding neighborhood streets, including Pontatoc and Valley View Roads.  Our community standard is to have safe and respectful driving.  Please adhere to the speed limits on these roads.

3. Congestion

With over 2,000 people moving through our campus every day, traffic is a reality.  Please follow instructions from campus security staff as they direct traffic in and out of our campus.  Here are some additional ways you can help:

Solution 1: Ride the Bus

Getting to/from school doesn’t have to mean battling morning traffic.  Catalina Foothills School District offers safe, reliable, air-conditioned, and efficient transportation.  Riding the bus is one of the best ways to cut congestion, simplify mornings, and give your student a calm start to the day.

Why ride the bus?

  • Beat the Bottleneck: Fewer cars in drop-off lanes = quicker, safer mornings.

  • Save Time: No more long lines or shifting your schedule.

  • Reliable & Safe: Drivers are CPR/First Aid certified, with a 98.9% on-time arrival rate.

  • Brand-New Fleet: Thanks to our voters, all buses are clean, modern, air-conditioned, and energy-efficient.

  • Flexible Ridership: Students don’t have to ride every day—mix in carpools or pickups as needed.

Bus Access & Info

  • District Resident Families: If you signed up at registration, you’re all set.  If not, contact your school office.

  • Non-District Resident Families: Apply for the bus here Open Enrollment Bus Application (PDF)

  • Routes: Find them in ParentVUE (Student Info tab) or in ParentSquare (Files).

  • Real-Time Tracking: Download the FirstView app (district code C4X3V) to follow your student’s bus.

Solution 2: Join a Carpool

If the bus isn’t an option, carpooling is the next best way to ease traffic.  It’s easy, efficient, and strengthens our community ties

These groups will be open for the next two weeks to help families connect and organize carpools.  They will close on September 15.

We’re fortunate to have incredible neighbors who support our school in so many ways.  Let’s return that respect by driving carefully, parking legally, and choosing efficient ways to get to and from campus.

Thank you for your partnership in keeping CFHS safe and welcoming for everyone!
