We're shifting to the first set of technical projects. We have been working on theatre safety in all the various work areas: the theatre, tech booth, catwalks, and the scene shop. We have a safety unit test on Friday, October 3rd. A reminder that all students must have a 3.25 (90%) in order to move into projects. They are allowed to retake as needed and can set up makeup tests with me. How can you help? Ask them to explain safety procedures and information about the various work spaces to you - let them teach you the safety rules for each area.

Intermediate Tech - we are finishing up safety review and will be heading into projects when we get back from fall break; starting with the wooden bracelet project. The project goal is to be able to identify and work with various wood materials and understand how they are used in theatre sets.

Intermediate Acting - we are moving into auditioning and character building techniques. This includes analyzing a full script and pulling clues from the text.

Actors have been rehearsing by learning their blocking and memorizing their lines.

Technicians are now working on their show concepts which will lead to the physical build of the show!
