CFHS Students Earn National Merit Recognition

Catalina Foothills High School is recognizing five seniors named National Merit Semifinalists in the 2026 National Merit® Scholarship Program, an honor earned by fewer than 1% of U.S. seniors. About 16,000 Semifinalists are chosen from ~1.5 million PSAT/NMSQT entrants. Congratulations to Ethan Lin, William Luxbacher, Katherine McNulty, Madeleine Reed, and Rex Shetlar.

CFHS also congratulates ten Commended Students, recognized among the top 50,000 PSAT/NMSQT entrants nationwide. (About 1% of seniors are recognized as Commended Students; at CFHS, 2% earned this distinction.)
