CFHS Student News
Falcon Fly-In
This week CFHS welcomed the 8th grade class from Esperero Canyon Middle School to our campus to get a taste of their future high school lives. These students took campus tours led by CFHS students, visited various classrooms to see our teachers and students in action, met with counselors to get information about courses, and had their first lunch experience in our cafeteria. Thank you to CFHS counselors Ms. Randie Collier, Ms. Kat Graham, Assistant Principal Mr. Tony Gerrettie, and our fabulous student council leaders and their advisor Mr. Gary Thompson for organizing and leading this event!

CFHS Theatre
This past Monday and Tuesday (January 19 and 20) Advanced Theatre traveled to the Arizona Thespian Festival in Phoenix. While there, they received a Gold Status Honor Troupe ranking as recognition for all of their work throughout the year. Congratulations to our remarkable student actors and to CFHS Theatre Director Amy Byroad for outstanding leadership. Bravo!
In order to receive a Gold Honor Troupe Ranking, a troupe must demonstrate excellence in the following:
*Student lead Theatre Productions (directing and design)
*Community Service/Community Outreach
*High ratings/scores in acting and technical theatre competitions
*Engaging in various Arizona Thespian events such as workshops and festivals
*Attending professional theatre performances.
*Active participation in community events with other theatre troupes in Tucson.
*Having a theatre club that encourages member involvement in trips, partnering with industry professionals, workshops, and community outreach events.
